Exclusive: Frontrunner for Guiseley managerial vacancy says “I’ve had no contact as of yet.”

Guiseley have been without a manager for almost three weeks now and the hunt for a new gaffer has not been easy. A name that has been thrown around a lot in recent weeks is Billy Heath who is looking for a job after parting ways with FC Halifax Town last month.

Heath got both FC Halifax Town and North Ferriby United promoted from The National League North. With Guiseley staring relegation in the face the appointment of Heath would be preparing for life back in National League North.

We spoke to former Shaymen manager Billy Heath about the links to the club he said ” I’ve had no contact with them as of yet.” With Guiseley saying in recent days that they won’t rush the appointment Heath could still be in the running to take over at Nethermoor before the season is over.
