Fulham eyeing Rangers midfielder

Fulham are looking into signing Rangers midfielder Harry Forrester after he has been told he can leave on a free transfer

It is thought that Forrester would come in as a back up as he can play both an attacking midfielder role and can play on the left wing providing cover for both Tom Cairney and Floyd Ayite. Forrester would add some much-needed depth to the Fulham squad and on a free transfer, it is not a bad deal at all.

A source close to the club told us that Khan has told Craig Kline to look into Forrester. Further showing that Slavisa Jokanovic’s complaints on Sky Sports News yesterday were legitimate as if Forrester were to be brought in he would be a player that Jokanovic has not expressed any desire for.

Doncaster Rovers supporter Alex Gibbings said this when he was asked about what type of player Forrester was during his time there? And what he makes of a potential move to Fulham?

“Forrester for me never really lived up to his full potential. He came to the Keepmoat on the back of promotion to the Championship, but never really lived up to the hype that was built up around him.

“Forrester for me never really lived up to his full potential. He came to the Keepmoat on the back of promotion to the Championship, but never really lived up to the hype that was built up around him.

On his day, he was quite comfortably the best player in our side, but rarely was it his day, and a lot of his time really was hampered by injury.

He came up with the odd bit of magic here and there, goals against Barnsley and Gillingham live long in the memory in particular, but it felt that he always seemed to stray for long periods in the couple years he spent with us.

Had his attitude been a lot better, I think that we would’ve had an absolute gem on our hands and one that we could’ve sold on to a higher team for a fair amount of money, but as soon as Dickov left and he was injured, there was no way back for him and he left for Rangers.

With them, he started off really well, scoring on his debut if I believe but again his attitude was poor and that is why he has ended up in the situation he is in now.

For me, he’s not a Championship player at the moment, he needs a club in a lower division to get back to playing football and getting a constant run of games under his belt, before then looking for clubs higher up.

For Fulham to sign him would be a big surprise judging that they will be aiming for the play-offs, and with the players that they have already, I struggle to see where Forrester would fit in.”
