Right back Ryan Fredericks is set to be offered an extended improved deal to stay at Craven Cottage this week. A source close to the club has told us
There has been speculation about Fredericks’ future in West London as he enters the final year of his contract, amid reported interest from Watford. Although a move to the Premier League would seem alluring to the Fulham full back he may feel that Fulham have a good chance of getting promoted this year after narrowly missing out on promotion last campaign.
Fredericks would be the third Fulham first teamer to sign a new contract this window after captain Tom Cairney and hot prospect Ryan Sessegnon both signed new contracts earlier in the summer.
The right back joined Fulham in 2015 in bizarre circumstances joining just 26 days after signing for Bristol City as he wanted a move back to London after leaving Tottenham. He has gone on to make over 60 appearances for Fulham and has become one of the first names on the team sheet every week.
Fredericks is one of the fastest players in the entire league clocking a 100m time of 11.1 seconds. This shows on the pitch as the right wing was a prolific area for Fulham last season with both Fredericks and Sone Aluko causing problems for every Championship defence they came up against.
