Fulham interested in loaning Watford defender Christian Kabasele

A source close to the club has told us today that Fulham have an interest in bringing in Belgian defender Christian Kabasele on loan in the coming weeks. Kabasele would be the 3rd centre back brought in by Fulham this window after the return of Tomas Kalas and the signing of Marcelo Djalo.

If Kabasele was to sign it could confirm the rumours that Marcelo Djalo was brought in for the Under-23 squad rather than the 1st team. It could also signal that one of either Michael Madl or Ragnar Sigurdsson may be departing the club as they would be surplus to requirements.

Fulhams defense has been a problem ever since getting relegated and Kabasele could be a solution to that as he brings in a combination of pace and strength that is great for any championship back line.
The defensive problems at Fulham have been highlighted during pre season as they have conceded 15 in their last 4 pre season games with eight of those coming against Chelsea.

Christian Kabasele made 12 appearances for Watford last season scoring 2 goals so he will add an element of danger at set pieces that Fulham have been needing since the departure of Matt Smith in January.

Would you take Kabasele at Fulham? If so would he be a starter? Discuss in the comments or at
